To place the reference point

1. Click Reference Point on the Standard toolbar.

2. On the Reference Point toolbar, click Place Reference Point .

3. Move the pointer where you want the reference point and click. The red plus reference point appears at that location.

To place the reference point using the keyboard, press PLUS SIGN on the numeric keypad (+). The reference point appears at the current pointer location.
